USB Connection
- Enable Developer Options and USB Debugging on your Android device.
- Connect via USB cable and tap "Allow USB debugging" on the phone screen.
- Launch DroidDeck. The background environment automatically initializes and the device appears in the sidebar.
Wi‑Fi Wireless Debugging
- Verify that your Android device and Mac are connected to the same Wi‑Fi network.
- On Android 11 or later: Open Wireless Debugging, select "Connect via Wi‑Fi" inside DroidDeck, and pair.
- Alternatively: Enable TCP/IP from an active USB connection, then disconnect the cable and connect by IP.
FAQ
Device not appearing in the list?
Confirm USB debugging permissions are granted. If Android Studio or another ADB daemon is active, click the refresh icon. USB endpoints can only be controlled by one service at a time.
How do I reopen the main window?
Press ⌘0, select "Main Window" from the File/Window menu, or click the DroidDeck icon in your Dock.
How are software updates delivered?
Exclusively through the Mac App Store. DroidDeck does not perform background updates independently.
